Costume: Basic Boo, PSL

This costume was by far one of the most fun and easy costumes I’ve made and worn! I had seen various bloggers such as Southern Curls & Pearls post a DIY on how to create this Pumpkin Spice Latte costume, so I had to try!

The steps were beyond easy to follow and a replicated my own version of the costume and how to do it below. All materials cost less than $25.

Step 1: Purchase a nude coloured dress. I bought mine online for $15.00 from Forever 21.

Step 2: Pick up white felt from a local craft store. If you don’t already have a glue gun and glue sticks, you will need those items too. I also purchased one green piece of bristol board for the straw.

3. Step 3: Print out the Starbucks logo, and reinforce by gluing onto a piece of felt. starbucks-logo

Step 4: Trace circles using the Starbucks logo as a template onto the felt. I used over 16 circles of white felt to create the whipped cream. The technique is simply bunching the circles to your liking and gluing in place (use one circle as the base).

Step 5: Glue your felt circle swirls into place around the neckline of your dress. If you want to wear a headband with some more whipped cream felt you can easily create this accessory piece as well! You can easily roll up a piece of the bristol board for the straw that sticks out of the top of the dress.

Step 6: Stop by your local Starbucks to grab an extra cup or brown bag to hold, extra cute that way!

Step 7: Last but not least, my favourite part was signing my name to the dress, as any good barista would, and adding the oh so basic Fall order of PSL!

Voila! The finished looked.

      1. Yeah! I was a deer for Halloween haha. It was so easy and I didn’t have to spend a lot of money! Honestly, I’m not willing to spend $100 on a costume anymore so DIY is the best!
